This is the Info Line for Helping Hands for the Disabled of NYC.  Here is a list of our events for     November 2017.

 

October 27, 2017, is our support group meeting on the phone, the time is 8pm and the phone number is 1-857-216-6700 and the code is 797305. Long distance charges may apply.

 

THERE WILL BE NO RESTAURANT CLUB ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017 AS WE ARE HAVING OUR THANKSGIVING DINNER ON NOVEMBER 11.  Free to members and $25 for guests. Choices are turkey dinner with all trimmings, lasagna, or eggplant.  Please notify Alice by November 6 if you are coming as I have to have a count for the restaurant I will take no more reservations after that date. 

 

On November 9, 2017, Thursday, we will have a Board meeting, ALL BOARD MEMBERS MUST ATTEND, at 6pm at the Hudson Guild, 441 W. 26th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue.

 

 

November 11, 2017 is our FREE Thanksgiving Dinner at Georgia Diner, located at 86-55 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst, NY 11373.  The cross streets are 54th Avenue and 55 Avenue.  The time is 2pm to 5pm. MUST bring something for the food pantry.  FREE TO MEMBERS ONLY.  IF YOU WISH TO BRING A GUEST IT WILL COST YOU $25, MUST LET ALICE KNOW IN ADVANCE.  The last date Alice will accept reservations is November 6. 

 

November 12, 2017, is our next Cake Sale Fundraiser from 9am to 3pm at New Life Fellowship Church, 82-10 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst, NY. The cross streets are Simonson Street and Goldsmith Street.  Please donate cakes, cookies, cupcakes, pies anything you can bake, and volunteers needed for this event.  Please call Alice Crespo if you wish to donate or volunteer. 

 

On November 18, 2017, Saturday, Be a Friend Day is at the Hudson Guild, 441 W. 26th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue, the time is 1pm to 5pm.  Please let Alice know if you need food, those of you living in Brooklyn will receive the food the 3rd Friday of each month, the rest of you will receive the food the 3rd Saturday of each month PLEASE let me know if for some reason you are not going to be home, remember that your food is being delivered by volunteers and it is very annoying to them when you are not there to receive your food. Please cooperate in this matter, also, let me know when you are planning to attend any of our events in particular the volunteers by calling 718-606-9712.

December 2, 2017 Holiday Party at the Hudson Guild, 441 W. 26th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue.  From 2pm to 5pm.  The cost is $20.  We will be having a lasagna dinner with garlic bread, dessert coffee and soda. 

 

May 12, 2018 is our fundraising dinner at the Pennsylvania Hotel, the cost $100, details to follow.

 

September 28, 2018 is our next Auction at the Hudson Guild, 441 W. 26th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue, from 2pm to 5pm.  Please start to donate now to make our Auction a success!!! The last Auction was good but we needed more items.
